I-INCE Young Professional Congress Attendance Grants (YP Grants)
The Young Professionals attendance grant is meant to offset registration and travel costs for people studying noise control and people early in their careers as noise control engineers, thus enabling more young professionals (YPs) to attend Inter-Noise Congresses. This year with an e-Congress, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, your travel costs and registration costs will be much smaller. However, we still want to encourage you to continue to attend Inter-Noise Congresses, including “attending” this one, and we hope that you are able to continue to be a valuable part of the international noise control community.
Part of the 600 Euro award will be used for your registration costs for Inter-Noise 2020. The remainder will be available to offset travel and registration costs to attend Inter-Noise 2021. Should you be unable to attend InterNoise2021 (Washington, DC, USA), we will roll-over the amount to offset costs to attend InterNoise 2022 (Glasgow, Scotland). After Inter-Noise 2020, we will appraise you and Inter-Noise 2021 organizers of the balance available to you (similarly for those delaying to Inter-Noise 2022).
To receive the award, award winners must upload their presentations to the Inter-Noise 2020 presentation and poster portal — there will be instructions on how to do this on the congress website. This is our e-“congress attendance and presentation” requirement.
We anticipate that the announcement of YP Attendance Award winners will be close to end of June. Applications must be received by the revised abstract submission deadline (May 25th, 2020).
